The Gardens of Boca Raton were nearly 1½ hrs late bringing my fathers casket to his military funeral on May 30, 2023. There is no excuse to put my father’s remains, his wife, children, grandchildren, friends, Honor Guard, Patriot Guard Riders, and military personnel through this. My dad was at a morgue in the same town as the National Cemetery. We were told they were in traffic. Two days after the funeral, Lindsay from the Gardens admitted that wasn’t true. We were told the CEO Garrett Jacobs was at a doctors appointment and unreachable. Because of their 1½ hour delay, our rabbi was told that his eulogy could only be 1 minute long and the honor guard said they would have to leave shortly. The VA perform funerals every fifteen minutes. The Patriot Guard was there to escort my dad with American flags flying to the ceremony and we were supposed to follow behind the hearse. We all had to wait where the ceremony was to be held instead of accompanying my dad. It was a devastating 1½ hr wait for my 91 year old mother and the rest of my family. I can only imagine how many military families were indirectly impacted by their failure to bring my father's remains to his military service burial on time. No family should ever have to go through this.
Two days after the funeral, Lindsay from Gardens funeral home called me admitting they dropped the ball and dads remains weren’t stuck in traffic. She said she saw my reviews and then she loudly raised her voice at me and asked if I have ever owned a business and just because it happened to us didn’t mean it would happen to anyone else. She asked me to remove my reviews. I believe she was more concerned with my reviews than forgetting about my dad and his military funeral. It was an absolute nightmare for my 91 year old mother not knowing where daddy’s body was for 1½ hours. Besides keeping him comfortable until the funeral, this was the one major thing they had to do. They failed miserably and got angry at me for leaving review. I suggest going with someone for your loved one that treats them like family.

  • The entire property has been completely renovated in 2016 and added a Funeral Home and Cremation service to the business. Expansion plans have started on a second State of the Art Chapel and wing opening in 2017.

  • The place is very beautiful and clean. The only thing is that they are very expensive.
